Despite huge budgetary deficit, government servants protest salaries

All Pakistan Clerks Association (APCA) had also decided to start a protest against the government across the country from June 15.

All Pakistan Clerks Association (APCA) Central President Haji Muhammad Irshad Chaudhry in a discussion with The News said they have decided to start a protest against the government for its wrong policies. Visibly infuriated, he added, the nation could not get any kind of relief from the government. He said if the PTI government stayed more, it will create an unrest situation across the country.

According to media reports the secretariat employes protests will be held in Punjab, Balochistan, Sindh, KPK, Azad Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan.

This decision was made in the session of All Pakistan Employees Coordination Council which was attended by the central president of council Chaudhry Muhammad Hussain Tahir, secretary-general Zulfiqar Ahmed, senior vice president Naseem Khan, vice president Muhammad Arshad Shahkoti, vice president Zubair Ahmed Warraich, Mehran and Abdul Ghafoor.

According to Pakworkers.com, they demanded a 100 per cent increase in their salaries. While all Adhoc allowances should be merged in Basic pay. Difference in pays of employees should be abolished and it should equal to the Salaries of High Courts Employees.

All Pakistan Secretariat Employees Coordination Council (APSECC) central president Chaudhry Muhammad Hussain Tahir has rejected the budget. He said, “How we could survive in this situation”. “We have already started staging protests and we are with the APCA to start a massive protest against the government.

It is worth mentioning that The Federal Government Engineers Association (FGEA) has also rejected the budget 2020-2021 and decided to stage protests
