Girl consumed acid to save herself from being gang-raped

Rescue teams rushed to the spot following the incident. The girl was shifted to the hospital soon. The affected family has demanded DPO Rahim Yar Khan take strict action against the accused.

A girl in Khanpur consumed acid to avoid being gang-raped. As per the reports, the girl was called for a job interview at a local pizza shop. She said that the shop owner, manager, and a woman named Tehreem allegedly tried to rape her.

The girl said that she consumed acid to save her honor. Rescue teams rushed to the spot following the incident. The girl was shifted to the hospital soon. The affected family has demanded DPO Rahim Yar Khan take strict action against the accused.

There has been a surge in rape cases in the past few weeks. In another incident, a girl was sexually assaulted by a rickshaw driver in Khangarh. According to the report, the girl was traveling in the rickshaw when she was forcefully raped by the driver.  “The victim and the suspect are currently undergoing medical examination,” they said. Police say they have arrested the accused.

Earlier, a woman was gang-raped by three unidentified robbers in front of her children in Muzaffargarh. The woman was the wife of the laborer working at a fish farm. Police say a case will be registered after a preliminary investigation.

A Police spokesperson quoted the victim’s husband as saying that the family lives at the fish farm of a local landlord. Three robbers barged into the house, gang-raped the woman, snatched her earring and a few items, and fled.Police said that the robbers put the husband of the woman hostage at gunpoint and then raped the woman.

Two weeks ago, the woman was gang-raped on a moving train. The 25-year-old woman, the mother of two children, was raped by three suspects. The incident took place on May 27, between Multan railway station and Karachi when the woman was travelling from Muzaffargarh to Karachi. The woman was visiting her in-laws to meet her children as she had been recently divorced.
