Karachi rapists killed in police encounter

After the police encounter, the bodies of the robbers were taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities. Images of the culprits are also going viral on social media. Important to note, the law and order situation in Sindh has deteriorated with the province reporting more frequent incidents of robberies.

Media reports state police killed two robbers involved in the alleged gang rape of a teenage girl in Surjani Town, Karachi. The police shot the robbers during an intense encounter.

Images of the culprits are also going viral on social media. SHO Haji Sanaullah told the media that the robbers fired gunshots at a mobile after cops. The cops returned the fire, killing both the suspects on the spot.

SSP East Karachi Qamar Jiskani also confirmed the news to the media. Moreover, the family of the victim identified the suspects involved in the robbery and the rape.

After the police encounter, the bodies of the robbers were taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities. Authorities also confiscated two pistols, a cell phone, and a motorcycle from their possession. The Sindh police are currently on the lookout to round up more accomplices.

 

Armed men raped a teenage girl after robbing her family of cash and valuables in their Surjani Town house late on Sunday night. As per reports, a member of the family went out to buy milk and accidentally left the front door open.

The two robbers barged into the house and held the family at gunpoint. A third accomplice waited outside the house to keep a watch. They looted Rs. 24000 and some jewelry from the family. When the family resisted, the robbers raped their young girl who is around 16 years old.

Karachi’s deteriorating law and order situation

Important to note, the law and order situation in Sindh has deteriorated with the province reporting more frequent incidents of robberies. Street crime continues to increase in Karachi.

According to media reports, five people lost their lives, and 29 others were injured resisting robbery bids in Karachi during the first 12 days of January. The cases of armed robberies have since then racked up with CCTV footage going viral on social media every other day.

In January 2022, robbers killed a young man in front of his mother for resisting robbery in Karachi’s Kashmir Road area while the security camera captured the horrible moment of the street crime.

A few days later, a woman and her son were shot and wounded by dacoits for showing resistance during a robbery bid in the Federal B. area of Karachi.

Earlier this month, a young boy Hafiz Usama lost his life for resisting robbery in Karachi after he refused to give his mobile phone to the street criminals near the Power House area. And the incidents continue to increase, sparking fear in residents.

However, based on the Surjani rape case, it appears that robbers are now resorting to even crueler means of attacking victims for resisting robberies.
