Kulbhushan allowed to meet his family but I am denied: Shahbaz Sharif

News Desk |

Former Chief Minister (CM) Punjab and PML-N president Mian Shahbaz Sharif has said Indian Spy Kulbhushan was allowed to meet his family but he is not being allowed to meet his family members.

Giving arguments in his defense before Accountability Court Lahore in Ashiyana Housing Scandal, Shahbaz said he was implicated in the false case and NAB authorities are blackmailing him.

PML-N and their supporters have blamed the government and establishment for the arrest of Shahbaz Sharif.

He said he was suffering from blood cancer and was not being checked up. “I am not being allowed to meet my family weekly. It is my need that I should continue to undergo the complete medical check. I have returned from death point.” He held “I have served my province. If it is an offense, then I will continue to commit it.”

The opposition leader said that a week earlier, he requested NAB to arrange for his blood test. “I have reminded NAB repeatedly in this respect. I was told they have told high ups and when the order will come they will tell him,” he added.

Former CM Punjab is being investigated and is under NAB custody for allegedly canceling a contract with a company and awarding it to a ‘favorite’ one in Ashiana Iqbal housing scheme and Punjab Saaf Pani Company.

The Saaf Pani Company was established by the PML-N president during the previous Punjab government to conceive, plan, design, execute and manage projects for the provision of safe drinking water in terms of both access and quality, to communities living in rural areas of the province.
