TV anchor Mansoor Ali Khan has responded to the recent backlash aroused after his picture with Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz’s member Hina Butt emerged on social media.
Recently, Hina Butt shared the picture with Mansoor Ali Khan on her Twitter account. She captioned the picture “With Meray Kaptaan @_Mansoor_Ali.”

The picture got a mixed reaction from the Twitterati. Some reproached Mansoor Ali Khan for meeting and mingling up with the people from the opposition party. He was blamed to be joining hands with opposition party against the government of Pakistan Tehreek-I-Insaf.

Mansoor Ali Khan, however, soon took to Twitter and responded to the controversy and responded through a video message.

He said he was invited to a meeting where Butt was present, adding that members of the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) also attended the eve.
“People belonging to different political parties and fields were a part of that gathering. Some people are trying to spread rumors and false information regarding the matter,” he added.

He asked people not to create a fuss over the picture since it was from a dinner that was attended by various politicians from different political parties.

Moreover, he stated that the claims of the event as the meeting of the PML-N’s social media is false, rather it was a dinner in which he was invited.
In conclusion, he stated that he deemed it right to personally respond to the controversy.

Mansoor Ali Shah is widely accused on social media for being a mouthpiece of the now opposition party Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz. He is blamed for propagating against Prime Minister Imran Khan and his government in his TV programmes.
Mansoor Ali Shah has rejected these accusation several times and says he is wrongly victimized by the social media team of Pakistan Tehreek-I-Insaf.
