National Bank of Pakistan was awarded the Prime Minister of Pakistan Award for outstanding Services in banking and the financial sector. The prestigious award was bestowed by the Federation of Pakistan Chamber & Industry (FPCCI) at the 42nd FPCCI Export Awards 2017-2018 held on December 17 in Islamabad.
President and CEO of NBP, Mr. Tariq Jamali, was presented with the Award by the Prime Minister Imran Khan himself for recognition of services pertaining to organizations in various sectors together towards contributing to the overall progress and prosperity of Pakistan.
The NFEH’s Corporate Social Responsibility Awards for Sports and Recreational Activities as well as acknowledgment award for services in community development for 2017.
The award symbolized an appreciation for NBP’s role in its services to the nation by promoting the cause of financial inclusion, as well as its financing efforts to the business community, industrial sector and for numerous other small-scale commercial initiatives.
While personally addressing the press after the event, Mr. Tariq Jamali expressed his gratitude and reiterated his determination to enact structural reforms within the financial framework and introducing technology-oriented solutions to further improve the bank’s products and services.
According to him, the award has boosted NBP employees in terms of performance inspiring trust and confidence from valued clients. He also repeated the bank’s aim to provide basic banking facilities to all citizens across Pakistan by prioritizing ease of access and end-user satisfaction.

NBP’s corporate banking, SME funding, and agricultural lending have stood out as fundamental drivers of growth in Pakistan’s economy. NBP’s commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR) and regular collaboration with sports and civil society organizations has made a lot of difference in the uplifting of economically disadvantaged segments of the society through funding and donations.
National Bank of Pakistan has already won other prestigious awards especially “Leading Partner Bank in Pakistan Award for 2018” for the highest number of transactions with Trade Finance Program (TFP) in Pakistan. The TFP bank agreement was issued during the period 1st July 2017 to June 30th, 2018. This award was conferred upon National Bank of Pakistan during the Asian Development Bank’s annual TFP Awards.
The NBP team reaffirms its commitment to serve the nation and continue working hard for the economic prosperity of Pakistan.
Another highly acclaimed domestic and international award bestowed upon NBP for its achievement in recent years includes a certificate of membership for the “FTSE index”, Pakistan Domestic Project Finance, Bank of the Year 2017 Award, and the “Trade Deal of the Year” award.
Even other wards NBP has bagged for social initiatives include the CSR Award for best CSR services, an award for contributing best services in health and education, advocacy awareness campaign.
