One martyred as Pakistan Navy helicopter crashed in Arabian Sea

A naval airman was martyred after the Pakistan Navy helicopter crashed in the Arabian Sea on Friday, confirmed a Navy spokesperson after the incident. The spokesperson further added that the accident happened during the routine operations.

The further details of the incident are awaited. Currently, the names of the injured and martyred personnel are unknown also the authorities are yet to share the details of the rescue operation. The reason for the incident has not been ascertained as an investigation is underway.

Last month, two crew-members out of four got injured when Pakistan Air Force plane crash-landed at Peshawar’s Bacha Khan Airport.

Pakistan Navy possesses excellent professional capabilities. They have time and again proved their mettle and have conducted several rescue operations in within their ambit of Arabian Sea.

The naval force of Pakistan conducted a successful rescue operation of the fishing vessel ‘Muhammad Shah Bukhari’ that had scores of sailors onboard on August 12 at Karachi harbor. Earlier, in the month of June Pakistan Navy Sea King Helicopters rescued the crew members of Sunken Iranian Show in North Arabian Sea.

The survivors were located after tough search in an open sea through the helicopters that were equipped with search and rescue gear and had onboard the paramedical staff. The 11 survivors were located and rescued in the shortest possible staff and were immediately provided with the first aid.
