Pakistani author, Arif Anis, wins ‘Brain of the Year Award’ in UK

Pakistani author, Arif Anis, on Thursday, won the prestigious Brain of the Year Award 2020 by the acclaimed organization Brain Trust UK

Pakistani author, Arif Anis, on Thursday, won the prestigious Brain of the Year Award 2020 by the acclaimed organization Brain Trust UK for his ‘One Million Meals’ initiative in April this year.

The announcement was made by the Trust Chairman and Grand Chessmaster Raymond Keene OBE. Anis, co-founded, the ‘One Million Initiative’ to feed National Health Services doctors, nurses, paramedics, and key workers on the frontlines of pandemic coronavirus.

 

The Brain of Year Trophy is the highest accolade of the Brain Trust UK. The award is bestowed on those who advance mental health through research, support, and funding for individuals and organizations. The previous laureates include Stephen Hawking, English theoretical, physicist, cosmologist, and author. Anis is also the first Pakistani to win the award.

Anis is a globally known thought leader and author of I’MPOSSIBLE, Follow Your Dreams, and co-author of Made In Crises. The 2018th edition of the Power100 British Parliamentary Review listed Anis among the 100 most influential trailblazers in Europe.

He has 20 years of experience in delivering transformational results, uplifting lives, and impacting people, policies, and narratives. He received the “Global Man of the Year Award” in 2019 by Global Magazine for contributions in the field of learning and development.

He has delivered the keynote speech at several prestigious universities worldwide namely, the University of Oxford, Cambridge, UCL, Hong Kong University, SOAS, London School of Economics. As an international human capital expert, he has trained top coaches, professionals, corporate leaders, heads of states, movie stars, and CEOs.

 

Anis has even met two US Presidents, three British prime ministers, and several global icons.

Anis also supports HRH Prince of Wales’ British Asian Trust. He is also the trustee of the world’s largest interest-free microfinance loan provider Akhuwat that has disbursed 4 million interest-free loans (more than $725 million). His initiatives have been featured by the BBC, ITV, Sky, CNBC, The Daily Telegraph, Yahoo, and other platforms.
