PML-N’s Hina Pervez Butt snubs cricketer Muhammad Hafeez after he praised Prime Minister Imran Khan on securing the vote of confidence from the National Assembly last week on Saturday.
Muhammad Hafeez had said that “Masterstroke. #VoteOfConfidence @ImranKhanPTI.” His tweet upset Hina Butt who slammed the cricketer on social media.
“Pakistan [cricket] has become a laughing stock around the world for failing to implement coronavirus SOPs and now you are supporting a vote thief,” said Butt in a tweet.
“It is better if you shut your mouth and play cricket and refrain from commenting on politics,” she added further. Muhammad Hafeez has not responded to her tweet yet.
Muhammad Hafeez along with a mammoth of advocates of PM Imran Khan had celebrated his vote of confidence.

Earlier, social media had expressed solidarity with Prime Minister Imran Khan as he announced to go for a Vote of Confidence in National Assembly following the senate elections on Wednesday.
The government had moved a summary to the president to summon a new session of the lower house of Parliament for a vote of confidence for Prime Minister Imran Khan from the National Assembly. The decision came in the backdrop of an upset in the Senate elections in which Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani of Pakistan Democratic Movement won the general seat from Federal Capital by securing 169 votes against 164 secured by Dr. Abdul Hafeez Sheikh of PTI.
