Proud moment for Pakistan as MBBS graduate sets new record by winning 29 gold medals

In a proud moment for Pakistan, a young MBBS graduate from Ameeruddin Medical College Lahore has set a new record by winning 29 medals.

Hafiz Muhammad Waleed Malik, while talking to the media about his remarkable achievement, said that initially, he had faced a lot of struggles, but with hard work, he succeeded.

“In starting I was struggling but then slowly with time and hard work I got succeeded,” Hafiz Muhammad Waleed Malik said. He further explained that the criteria to get a gold medal is obtaining more than 85% marks or the highest numbers or a top position in each semester.

Hafiz Muhammad Waleed Malik’s father also spoke to the media and expressed his elation at his son’s remarkable achievement.

“All my kids took medals but Waleed took more than everyone from the beginning,” the father of Hafiz Muhammad Waleed Malik said.

The convocations of the Post Graduate Medical In­stitute and Ameeruddin Medical College were held simultaneously at Aiwan-e-Iqbal under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr. Muhammad Al-Fareed Zafar. Provincial Health Minister Dr. Yas­min Rashid was the chief guest at the event.

Dr. Yasmin Rashid talked about the Punjab gov­ernment’s health policy and said that medical education is being developed on modern lines and provid­ing the best medical facilities for treatment in hospitals is the first priority of the government.

Netizens are congratulating Hafiz Muhammad Waleed Malik for winning 29 medals and making Pakistan proud. He broke the record of a Pakistani receiving the most medals in the medical field. The previous record was held by a female MBBS student from King Edwards medical college who won 23 gold medals.
