Ramiz Raja protects Pakistani reporters at Dubai Cricket Stadium

Ramiz Raja spoke highly of the Pakistan cricket team and the leadership skills of Babar Azam. He praised the team for their hard work and said that Babar Azam owned the team. Raja added that Muhammad Rizwan proved what nationalism and playing for the country means.

A video of Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman, Ramiz Raja, has been making rounds on social media in which he is seen calling out the Dubai security team and standing up for the press of Pakistan. Raja can be seen chiding the security team while talking to Pakistani reporters.

“Excuse me, just give me two minutes, okay?” says Ramiz Raja. “Just give me two minutes, fine? Wait. Wait. Wait, this is the press of Pakistan, just give me two minutes,” Ramiz Raja said while addressing security at Dubai stadium.

He seems to be addressing the security team at the Dubai Cricket Stadium who pushed away from the Pakistani reporters. A reporter was heard saying Ramiz Raja, “Thank you Ramiz Bhai.”

In his media interaction, Ramiz Raja spoke highly of the Pakistan cricket team and the leadership skills of Babar Azam. He praised the team for their hard work and said that Babar Azam owned the team.

Chairman PCB said that he gives them advice but he does not speak to them like a chairman but as a cricketer.

“Whenever I talk to them, I talk to them as a cricketer, not as a chairman. I hope they understand what I try to tell them about cricket and they understand the importance of unity, nationalism and they should never be discouraged after losing,” he added.

Raja backed Hassan Ali and said that such episodes are a nightmare for the players to escape from. “If I was in his place, I would double my fielding efforts,” he said. “He should try not to think much about it. Everyone makes mistakes. I dropped several catches, it is not the end of the world,” he added.

Raja added that Muhammad Rizwan proved what nationalism and playing for the country means.

A report asked that the positive body language of the team implied that they had no pressure from the board. “As long as I am here, players will not have any tension,” he said.
