Ranbir Kapoor likely to replace SRK in Don 3

News Desk |

Actor Ranbir Kapoor is likely to replace Shah Rukh Khan in the third franchise for ‘Don 3’. Director Farhan Akhtar, known for Indian classics such as Dil Chahta Hai and Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, is looking to forward to cast the ‘Sanju’ actor Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role.

According to Indian media reports, director of the highly successful biopic ‘Sanju’, Rajkumar Hirani, is considering casting Shah Rukh Khan in his upcoming movie, which is under production. It seems that both the actors will be swapping up their directors for their upcoming projects.

The third installment of Don 3 was confirmed in 2017 and since then Farhan Akhtar has been working on the script for the movie. He has previously produced, directed and wrote the first two installments of Don. Both installments had Shah Rukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra in lead roles.

Ranbir Kapoor’s popularity, as a talented actor, sky-rocketed as he made his comeback on cinema screens with his latest film, ‘Sanju’. On the other hand, SRK’S ‘Zero’, featuring Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma, performed badly at the box-office despite high production costs.

It is rumored that Khan is disturbed by ‘Zero’s failure and had decided to keep himself away from movie projects for some time. The King Khan of Bollywood is yet to announce his upcoming film, he is, however in talks to host the second season for Ted Talks which is soon to go on-air.
