Price and specifications
Hyundai has launched the car with a 2.4L petrol engine and is available in only one variant – an all-wheel-drive (AWD) with a 6-speed transmission.
The car comes with a hefty price tag of Rs. 18.5 million. It comes with an impressive 4 year or 100,000 KM warranty and is available in 5 different colors. The base price of the car in USA starts from $ 26,000; the price tag increases as more options are added. In UK, the price retails in the range of £35,000.
It is expected to compete with the likes of many imported and local cars including Toyota Land Cruiser and Prado, Toyota Fortuner, Lexus and Audi Q6. The addition of this car to the Pakistani market will only help increase competition between car manufacturers – with the consumer benefitting the most.
Hyundai-Nishat Motors is a joint venture between the Korean car brand Hyundai and Pakistani conglomerate Nishat Group. It entered the Pakistani market after the unveiling of the auto-policy 2016-21.
The group has already unveiled its commercial truck and an MPV (Multi-purpose vehicle) with a plan to release more models in the future.
