The motorway has a closed-entry and exit system hence it would be quite easy for the police to trace the whereabouts of the car that hit Shahbaz Gill. Motorway police is expected to share with the public the details such as who was driving the car, what are the intentions of the driver after a thorough investigation.

Federal Government should also initiate an investigation into the matter headed by Federal Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah. A thorough investigation is needed by the government because several members of PMLN are known for having a hardline approach against Shahbaz Gill. Hence, an investigation and a detailed report are needed to reinstate the trust of the people on the government and also to avoid exacerbating the already charged up political atmosphere in Pakistan.

The current government is already under pressure from public over the possible arrest of PTI leadership on blasphemy charges.
