Shahid Afridi has a heartwarming chat session with Indian fans

Shahid Afridi took pictures with the fans. Two Indian couples came forward to talk to him and took pictures afterward.

Former Pakistani cricketer Shahid Afridi meets Indian fans in Thailand. Afridi shared the video of his interaction with the fans on his Twitter account with a message of peace and friendship.

“Sports has an international language of love and respect without boundaries. Had some interesting chat about cricket with visitors at a restaurant in Thailand which was heartwarming,” wrote Shahid Afridi while sharing the video on Twitter.

Shahid Afridi took pictures with the fans. Two Indian couples came forward to talk to him and took pictures afterward.

After taking the picture with the second couple,  the cricketer advised the man to take care of his wife, love her a lot and not be disloyal to her.

“You have to love her a lot. Never attempt disloyalty,” he’s heard saying in the video.

He refused a request for a solo picture and went to his table in the restaurant. Afridi then had a chat session with the visitors who were mostly Indians. He asked them if they watch cricket. To which most of them raised their hands.

One fan responded to Afridi and said: “Sir, we don’t only watch cricket, but also play and know all your stats.” He then asked them about their favorite player. Almost everyone said, Virat Kohli and Sachin Tendulkar.

“You guys don’t like anyone from our Pakistan team?” Afridi disappointedly asked them. Many said Afridi is their favorite cricketer. One of the visitors said that he follows him and remembers all his stats. One fan reminded him of his stats in which he scored the fastest century on 37 balls against Sri Lanka in 1997 with the bat of Sachin Tendulkar. “I have that bat to date,” the former skipper said. At the end of the video, Shahid Afridi asked his fans to stay happy. “As Indians and Pakistanis, we are ambassadors of our country. For us, all humans are equal,” Afridi said while addressing his Indian fans.
