Trump’s much-preferred platform- a ‘personal Twitter account’ having 40 million followers was shut down at 4pm-PST on Thursday.
A Twitter employee deactivated Donald Trump’s twitter handle on the last day of work. The action of this employee is termed as deliberate by Twitter.
Twitter is yet to name the employee, but it confirmed that the president’s @realdonaldtrump account was down for 11 minutes. For this short span of time, Twitter page-@realDonaldTrump showed the message “Sorry, that page doesn’t exist”.

The company had first narrated that the account was deactivated due to human error by a Twitter employee but later changed its statement and revealed that the shutdown was the deliberate action of an (unnamed) employee on last day of his job. Besides, the company said in a statement that it had started a detailed internal review into the matter.
