US and Iranian military resume attack for the first time in weeks. U.S. claimed to attack Iran’s Larak Island. Meanwhile, Iran claims to attack UAE’s Al Minhad Airbase with drones. Iran’s army said that it attacked the United Arab Emirates’ Al Minhad airbase with drones early on Monday.
The army said the attacks targeted locations where U.S. forces and helicopters were stationed at the base. It said the attack was in response to the killing of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards and Iranian civilians on Larak Island.
There was no immediate comment from the UAE on Iran’s claim that it attacked the Al Minhad airbase. Meanwhile, US forces struck Iranian rocket launchers stationed at the Strait of Hormuz in the first military action in weeks. Iran also has attacked, according to reports in international media, apart from UAE, Iran has also attacked U.S. sites in Jordan.
According to Tim Hawkins, the spokesperson for the U.S. Central Command, forces with the Revolutionary Guard Corps were observed preparing to launch rockets with sea mines into the strait. The U.S. military has claimed that it completed last week the clearing of sea mines from the strait’s international shipping routes.

Meanwhile, IRGC has claimed that several fighters and civilians were killed and injured in the last night’s strike on Larak Island and vowed to respond. Iran’s Tasnim agency reported that preliminary information suggested it was a drone attack.
The UAE Defense Ministry released the latest statement announcing that the UAE Air Force responded to UAV detected over the country’s territorial waters approaching from Iran.
The UAE Ministry of Defence said the “UAE Air Force responded to a UAV detected over the country’s territorial waters after it approached from Iran”.
In a post on X, The ministry said the Armed Forces remained on a high state of readiness to address any potential threats, while air defence systems continued to monitor and safeguard the country’s airspace around the clock.
Iran Foreign Ministry has condemned the U.S. strikes on Iraqi soil and said that Iran strongly condemns the American military aggression on Iraq, adding that the Iranian forces responded in accordance with the inherent right of legitimate defense.
Tehran is not looking for war but will also never sit still in the face of any new aggression, says the Iranian President Hassan Rouhani in his first comment since the U.S. attack on Iran’s Larakeh island.
