Vivo S6 with 5G support and 4,500mAh battery launched

Vivo S6 is official in China, and the phone comes with Exynos processor and a quad-camera setup at the back. The phone has a waterdrop-style notch display, and it packs a large 4,500mAh battery on board, but the fast charging support is limited to 18W. Other features of Vivo S6 include 5G support, 3.5mm audio jack, and 48-megapixel main camera.

Design and Display

The Vivo S6 5G has a 6.44-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a tall 20:9 aspect ratio. There is a waterdrop notch for the front-facing camera and an in-display fingerprint sensor that has snappy unlocks.

There are four cameras at the back housed in a circular module and a dual-tone LED flash unit just below it.

Cameras

The circular camera bump on the back has a 48MP main shooter combined with an underwhelming 8MP ultrawide lens, a 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. The camera can record 1080p and 4K videos but both are limited to 30 FPS.

The front-facing camera is a 32MP lens that can capture wide-angle shots, HDR photos, and 1080p videos at 30 FPS.

Battery and Pricing

The 4,500 mAh battery on the device comes with 18W fast charging that should be able to top up the device from 0 to 100% in around 90 minutes.

The Vivo S6 5G will be available in Black, Blue, and a mixture of White and Blue colors for $380 once it goes for sale on April 4.
