PTI Chairman and former Prime Minister Imran Khan are currently on a mission to mobilize the Pakistani nation ahead of the general elections next year. After holding successful rallies across the country, Imran Khan has decided to directly address the youth of Pakistan by visiting them.
Interestingly, Imran Khan’s visit to educational institutes at the peak of his political campaign is garnering mixed reactions. While many Pakistanis express their elation at the country’s current most popular leader personally visiting students, many have also voiced their criticism as they believe that educational institutes should be apolitical.
Pertinent to mention that political leaders have visited educational institutions in the past. Therefore, there are calls that PPP and PML-N leaders – who are PTI’s political rivals – should also be invited to educational institutes. Furthermore, Imran Khan’s visit to Edwardes college comes amid the backdrop of the recent Government College University (GCU) in Lahore. To clarify, GCU hosted Imran Khan as a special guest for an event titled “Taleem Aur Hunar Sath Sath”.
