Watch: PTI leader Ali Muhammad Khan arrested for the 5th time

PTI leader Ali Muhammad Khan has been arrested once again after his release from the Anti-Terrorism Court of Mardan.

Yet again, PTI leader and former Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Ali Muhammad Khan was arrested for reportedly the fifth time immediately after being released from Peshawar Central Jail.

According to the details, Ali Muhammad Khan has been arrested once again after his release from the Anti-Terrorism Court of Mardan.

The arrest took place following a court order from the Peshawar High Court (PHC) for the release of Ali Muhammad Khan, who had been arrested on charges related to the May 9 incidents.

Pertinent to mention that an Anti-Terrorism Court Mardan on Friday had already discharged Ali Muhammad Khan in May 9 violence case.

Ali Muhammad Khan, who was rearrested by Mardan police on Thursday, was presented before the court of ATC Judge Syed Ubaidullah Shah.

The court, after hearing arguments in the case, discharged Ali Muhammad Khan from the case and ordered to release him if he is not wanted in any other case.

On 9th May, violent clashes broke out across Pakistan after the former prime minister and PTI chief Imran Khan were arrested at the Islamabad High Court. Army installations and Corps Commander’s house in Lahore came under attack during a protest by PTI workers.

The protests were held in remote and major cities as the party workers are agitated due to their chairman’s arrest, with Balochistan, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Islamabad summoning the armed forces to ensure law and order.

In response to the protests the government launched a crackdown against PTI, and several PTI leaders were arrested under the Maintenance of Public Order (MPO) Ordinance 1960. Former state minister Ali Muhammad Khan was first arrested from Rawalpindi, then from Islamabad, and last arrest was from Peshawar and was shifted to Mardan.
