PTI leaders are criticizing the media coverage of Mian Dawood, the lawyer of the prime suspect Naveed Bashir in the Wazirabad attack, in which Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan was injured.
During the press conference, Mian Dawood claimed that the incident was ‘planted’ by PTI. He alleged that PTI is misleading people about the Wazirabad attack.
“Wazirabad incident was planned and has nothing to do with the reality,” Mian Dawood alleged while addressing a press conference in Lahore.

Meanwhile, senior PTI leaders have taken to Twitter to question the media coverage of Mian Dawood’s press conference at the Lahore Press Club. They have also questioned state media PTV showing the live coverage of Mian Dawood.
“Who organized the press conference of the lawyer of the accused of the murderous attack on Imran Khan? Who pressured the news editor to show the press conference of an unknown lawyer named Mian Dawood? Doing so will increase the suspicions,” Fawad Chaudhry said.

“It is forbidden to show the press conference of the person who faced an assassination attempt but the one who made the assassination attempt is regularly shown on all channels including the state PTV, on the state’s EMA. Then they ask why people abuse us,” Azhar Mashwani said.

“The fortress of the assassination plot was opened. Accused Naveed has been provided a lawyer, and now his press conference has been arranged which is being telecast live on media,” Zartaj Gul Wazir said.

“The cat is out of the bag. Naveed, the accused involved in the Imran Khan murder attack, was first provided with a lawyer, now the press conference of Naveed’s lawyer is being held at the Lahore Press Club, and PTV official TV live coverage is being conducted. Did you understand who was the one who did not allow the FIR of Imran Khan to be registered? Who is covering up?” Farrukh Habib said.
