A lot has been spoken about Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, their romance, and their marriage which has been on the cards for a long time. Earlier, it was being reported that the duo may tie the knot in December 2020 but now, it seems the marriage may be postponed to 2021.
The reason behind the postponement is not only the ongoing coronavirus pandemic but also the respective professional commitments that will keep them busy. The duo is collaborating for the first time in Ayan Mukerji’s Superhero-trilogy called Brahmastra, which also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna, Dimple Kapadia, and Mouni Roy.
This film was earlier titled Dragon and was slated to release on Christmas 2016. However, the makers needed more time to shape and enhance it. It was then announced that the drama would come out on India’s Independence Day 2019 and then postponed till December 4, 2020. But owing to the lockdown, it seems the release has to wait a little longer.

Apart from this film, Ranbir Kapoor also has a film with Luv Ranjan coming up that stars Shraddha Kapoor opposite him and is also in talks with Sandeep Reddy Vanga for a thriller titled Devil.
Will the couple tie the knot in December?

The couple officially declared their relationship two years ago during the wedding of Sonam Kapoor when the two appeared together at the wedding reception. The couple came together on the sets of Brahmastra, the couple’s first movie together.

Before coming together, Ranbir Kapoor was reportedly dating Katrina Kaif while Alia Bhatt was dating Siddharth Malhotra, her co-star from the film ‘Student of the Year’.

The couple again made a fresh appearance together at the wedding of Ranbir Kapoor’s cousin, Armaan Jain and Anissa Malhotra. Ranbir’s mother, Neetu Kapoor, was also spotted on the wedding reception along with the couple.
Meanwhile, Alia Bhatt also visited Ranbir Kapoor’s late father actor Rishi Kapoor. The reports stated, the families of Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor, have started preparations for the wedding.
