Will Saba Qamar reprise her role in ‘Hindi Medium 2’?

News Desk |

Saba Qamar hopes to work again with Irrfan Khan in the second instalment of Hindi Medium as the producer of the movie says the scrip of the sequel is ready.

Producer Bhushan Kumar says, “The script is ready and we are starting pre-production of the film. Hindi Medium was my first award as a producer. People loved the film and Irrfan is ready as well. We will be going on the floors once the preparatory work is complete.”

While Saba Qamar is hopeful to make her place in the sequel, a majority of Indian publications believe the Pakistani starlet is unlikely to be signed for Hindi Medium 2.

“I hope my hard work has brightened the name of Pakistan and our film industry globally. With the grace of God, I received a positive response for my first venture in our neighbouring country”.

“After the massive success of Hindi Medium, the producers are all set for a sequel I hope Irrfan and I get to work on the second instalment of the blockbuster”.

The Baaghi star was immensely praised for her work in the movie. Irrfan Khan and Saba Qamar played a middle-class couple that wanted their daughter to enroll in an English Medium School.

Khan won the best actor (male) award for his performance in Hindi Medium while Qamar bagged her first nomination for the category of best actor (female) at the Filmfare Awards for her first Bollywood venture.

Pakistani starlets have undoubtedly created their names in the Indian film industry. Despite failing to achieve awards they have been a good representation of Pakistani talent in cross-border India. Fawad Khan won a Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut in 2015 for his role in “Khoobsurat”.
