PTI estranged leader Aleem Khan has refused to accept an offer of ministry in the Punjab cabinet. Aleem Khan says he is not interested in the ministries. He, however, thanked PMLN for offering him a ministry.
The spokesperson of Aleem Khan informed the media about the PTI leader turning down the offer. The spokesperson further added that Khan was not interested in the ministry since day one and the news of his appointment is fake.
“He will not accept any ministry or any official status in the provincial government,” he said.
A few days ago, Chief Minister Hamza Shehbaz had constituted the committee for reforms in prison with Aleem Khan as its convenor. Other members of the committee include Salman Rafique, Ayesha Chaudhry, Aneeza Fatima, and Ali Raza Shah.
The committee will also include an additional chief secretary at home, additional secretary prison, and members of civil society. The committee is tasked with bringing improvement in prisons and the welfare of the prisoners.

PTI dissident joins PML-N govt
Two days back, PTI dissident Awn Chaudhry has been appointed as Adviser to PM Shehbaz Sharif on tourism and sports. The notification of his appointment was issued on Tuesday.
According to the reports, his status will be equal to the status of a federal minister. President Arif Alvi approved his appointment on the advice of PM Shehbaz Sharif. It is pertinent to mention that Awn Chaudhry is a member of the Jehangir Tareen group who had parted ways from PTI but is still a member of the party.
Jehangir Tareen had supported the PDM against the No-Confidence Motion presented against PM Imran Khan in National Assembly and former Chief Minister Punjab Usman Buzdar. Tareen group had supported Hamza Shehbaz for the next chief minister of Punjab.
Awn Chaudhry had faced severe criticism from PMLN for his misconduct earlier. Now, PMLN is being criticized for joining hands with Awn Chaudhry just to topple the government of PTI and Imran Khan.
