AR Rahman’s daughter pays rich tribute to Holy Prophet at Dubai Expo

Khatija Rahman, daughter of India’s top musician, AR Rahman, stunned the audience with her soul-stirring performance of ‘Farishton’. In her magical voice, she touched the hearts of the audience and gave a message of unity, faith, and peace.

Khatija Rahman, a 23-year-old young daughter of the musician stunned the audience with her soul-stirring performance of ‘Farishton’. In her magical voice, she touched the hearts of the audience and gave a message of unity, faith, and peace.

Her video has been garnering massive traction on social media with social media users from Pakistan in awe of her performance. She performed ‘Farishton’ on the occasion of World Children’s Day in November.

Her father, AR Rahman, has composed her debut single. The musician shared the video of her daughter’s performance on his YouTube channel.  “For those of you who missed watching the performance of Farishton by Khatija Rahman and the Firdaus Orchestra, celebrating World Children’s Day, here it is for you. A big thank you to the whole team of Firdaus Orchestra and Expo 2020 Dubai for putting up such a phenomenal show,” said AR Rahman while sharing the video.

Netizens have called her voice magical. “Heavenly composition Rahman sir and of course beautiful voice Khatija Ji.. ❤️❤️❤️”. Another wrote, “What a brilliant and soulful composition! This deserves way more attention. Not to forget the angelic voice of Rahmans’ daughter.”

Khatija recently talked about her debut performance in an interview. She said that she wants to use her art to spread the message of peace.

“Yes, I’ve always wanted my art to have a message. This doesn’t mean one shouldn’t be an entertainer. Music is the medium understood by everyone and is a great influence on one’s heart and mind. I want to spread a message of unity, acceptance of diversity, co-existence,” said Khatija
