Chery Automobile Corporation Limited, one of the biggest automobile export companies in China has partnered with Ghandhara Nissan to produce the Chery Tiggo Series of SUVs in Pakistan. In an event held in Karachi, the company has confirmed the launch of the Chery Tiggo 4 Pro and Chery Tiggo 8 Pro in Pakistan.
Chery’s approach for engaging with expanding automobile markets throughout the world includes customizing brands and goods to match rising consumer demand. In Pakistan, sales of the first locally made vehicles are planned to begin in the fiscal year 2021-22.

Ghandhara’s $10 million investment over the first four years will provide a much-needed financial boost to the industry, as well as help establish a retail network and create jobs. Chery will debut in Pakistan with an initial dealer network of eight dealers and a production capacity of 16,000 units. As their state-of-the-art plant in Karachi’s Port Qasim is being developed, this would be boosted to 32,000 units in their second phase of production.
A joint venture of Chery and Ghandhara
Chery and Ghandhara will collaborate to bring world-class facilities to Port Qasim in Karachi. The partners are collaborating closely in order to build a long-term connection, offering a plethora of local expertise and experience with cutting-edge engineering technology.

Chery’s executive vice president, Charlie Zhang, stated that entering the Pakistani automobile sector is an important step forward for China-Pakistan’s economic progress. Chery will now assemble the Tiggo Series (Chery Tiggo 4 Pro and Chery Tiggo 8 Pro) in-house with strong local talent.
