Overseas Pakistani cricket fans, too, touched the heart when they were spotted cleaning the stadium stands after one of the ICC World Cup matches back in July.

A video surfaced on the internet showed a bunch of young Pakistani boys, sporting their Pakistan cricket team jersey, cleaning the stands of the stadium after Pakistan beat New Zealand on Wednesday. The netizens lauded the boys for living up to their civic duties to ensure cleanliness and a safe environment, painting a bright picture of Pakistanis in front of the world.

Several fans stayed back after the match and were seen collecting trash from the stands, thus, setting an example for the ones who litter.

The humanitarian gesture of the Pakistani boys has reinvigorated the image of Pakistan which was tainted after the excessive sneering of Pakistani cricketers following the continuous dismal performance in the ICC World Cup. The Pakistan cricket team faced consecutive losses at the beginning of the ICC World Cup. Fans lost their cool after the team suffered a humiliating defeat against West Indies and India.

Perhaps, local cricketers and fans desperately need to learn this from Dean Jones and overseas Pakistani cricket fans to keep the public places clean.
