Flood victims complain they did not receive any relief goods or donations following the visit of Maryam Nawaz Sharif on Monday. Vice President PMLN Maryam Nawaz visited Taunsa Sharif yesterday to express solidarity with the flood victims.
She visited the flood-affected areas of Tibbi Qaisrani, Narri, and Raitra. The official statement from PML says Maryam Nawaz also distributed some relief goods to people. Several videos have emerged on social media in which the victims have alleged that they did not receive any relief goods or donations following the visit of Maryam Nawaz as promised. A video of the woman whom Maryam Nawaz is hugging in her Twitter display picture has emerged on Twitter.
The woman says they did not receive any relief goods. She said Maryam Nawaz came, hugged them, clicked pictures, and left. The woman added that they stopped the funds they were receiving from Ehsaas Programme and also left without providing any relief items to people. She asked what kind of solidarity was this in which they were not provided with any relief.

Another woman said that many women had gathered for Maryam’s visit under the tent. They came here at personal expense, waited for hours; Maryam Nawaz left after a while.
