Girl slammed for dancing in viral video in University of Central Punjab

A video of a student dancing in a university is gaining negative reactions from social media users. According to netizens, there is a need to revamp the education system and institutions in Pakistan where students are encouraged to focus more on studies and academic achievements.

A video of a girl dancing at the University of Central Punjab has gone viral on social media. The viral video shows a girl dances to a song while other students watch her.

The purpose of the girl dancing is unclear, however, it shows that a group of students is enjoying her dance performance as spectators. The student has been receiving flak on social media ever since the video went viral on Twitter.

Netizens are raising questions regarding the management’s control over the university students while others slam students for breaching moral codes. Social media users said that the videos show aspiration in youth to imitate the western and Bollywood culture.

Others said that there is a need to revamp the education system and institutions in Pakistan where students are encouraged to focus more on studies and academic achievements.

The details of the student have not been revealed yet while no reports have emerged if the university has taken any action on the video.

Girl openly proposes to a boy in a university

Back in March, a video of the girl proposing the boy had gone viral on social media. The University of Lahore expelled students after their video of public display of affection (PDA) went viral on the internet this week.

A video of a university girl proposing to her mate created a frenzy on social media. Both the girl and the boy publicly hugged each other on the premises of the university. Other university students gathered around them as the girl went down on her knees to propose to the boy.

The students gained colossal attention on social media, however, their actions did not go well with the university administration.

The university issued a letter on Friday stating that the disciplinary committee has decided to expel students from the university.

“A meeting of the Special Disciplinary Committee was held on 12-3-2021 at 10:30 am in the Office of the Rector,” reads the notification.

The university charged students with violating the code of conduct. It said that the two students “were involved in gross misconduct and violation of University rules”, adding that they were summoned before the committee but “failed to appear”.
