Hamza Ali Abbasi to return to TV screen with serial ‘Jaan-e-Jahan’

The female lead of the drama serial is yet to be announced. The drama has been directed by Qasim Ali Mureed and written by Rida Bilal. Hamza Abbasi shared the teaser of the drama serial on his Instagram account.

Pakistani actor Hamza Ali Abbasi is set to return to TV screens with a drama serial Jaan-e- Jahan after a long hiatus.

The female lead of the drama serial is yet to be announced. The drama has been directed by Qasim Ali Mureed and written by Rida Bilal. Hamza Abbasi shared the teaser of the drama serial on his Instagram account.

Sharing the teaser he said, “Happy to introduce you to the captivating world of our upcoming project Jaan-e-Jahan written by Rida Bilal, directed by Qasim Ali Mureed,” an Instagram post read. “Produced by Samina Humayun Saeed and Sana Shahnawaz coming soon on a TV screen near you!”

The teaser comprises introductory messages from the makers with superstar Humayun Saeed’s captivating narration. The drama seems to be following the storyline of ‘Alif’- the last drama serial featuring Hamza Ali Abbasi and Sajal Ali in the lead role.

The date of the release of the drama serial is yet to be announced. The actor is last seen in the recently released Bilal Lashari’s ‘The Legend of Maula Jatt’. Abbasi played the character of Noori Nath in the film.

Abbasi mentioned that the role was very challenging, still. “The get-up of Noori was exhausting, with Lahore’s heat, the beard, the hair. Filling the shoes of Mustafa Qureshi Sahab was an added pressure. I can call it the most challenging character of my career,” Abbasi added.

Hamza Ali Abbasi had taken a break from the entertainment world to follow, study and explore religion. He, however, denied the conjecture that he has bid farewell to his acting career. While responding to a Twitter user who said that fans would miss Abbasi on the screen after news spread that Abbasi had quit acting. The actor cleared the misunderstanding that he had not quit acting but had taken a brief break and he would soon be back on screen. The actor had also announced to write a book on God.
