Different Pakistani Tabloids, using the sources close to Mahira Khan have shunned the speculations of her engagement with an apparent boyfriend, Salim Karim.
An Indian publication has earlier reported that Mahira Khan had got engaged to her boyfriend in a private ceremony in Turkey; since then, media was abuzz with speculations and sought Mahira Khan’s statement on the issue.
Media outlets here, quoting the sources have however denied the news and stated that she was spotted in Turkey attending a friend’s wedding.
“It’s just a rumor. She was there for a friend’s wedding and that’s all,” revealed the news publication quoting sources. Mahira Khan herself or her team has so far not commented on the news. Mahira Khan had shared her picture from the event on her Instagram page as well.
“In the latest photo that has found its way to the net, Mahira and Salim (her alleged beau) are dressed in formal attire and are standing close to each other. This picture is reportedly from a party where the two were spotted dancing together. Rumour has it that they engaged in some PDA as well,” the media outlet had stated.

The tabloid had further stated that Mahira Khan got engaged with her new found love entrepreneur Salim Karim, the CEO of Pakistani start-up called Simpaisa.
Earlier Rumours of Mahira’s Beau
The ‘Raees’ star Mahira Khan was paired with Bollywood’s heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor back in 2017 when their candid pictures of smoking together went viral on social media. They were rumoured to have been dating each other. Both the celebrities, however, denied the news of seeing each other. Mahira Khan, though, confronted severe backlash on social media for smoking.
Ranbir Kapoor then came to her defense stating that “I’ve gotten to know Mahira in a personal capacity over the last few months. She is somebody whom I admire and respect, for her achievements and even more for the person she is. It is very unfair the way she is being judged and spoken about. What is also sad is the inequality in judgment just because she is a woman.” Ranbir Kapoor is currently dating Alia Bhatt.
