He tweeted, apparently, after a detailed meeting of Prime Minister Imran Khan with journalists explaining to them the preparations of the federal government to fight the novel coronavirus in the country.
Meanwhile, he has repeatedly urged people to take precautions and observe social distancing to save themselves from contracting the virus.
He ruled out the possibility of complete lockdown in Pakistan currently but said that it is a last resort and the government will go for complete lockdown if the situation worsens in Pakistan. He, however, warned that complete lockdown has severe repercussions for the people.
PM Khan is closely monitoring the situation of the coronavirus outbreak in the country. He called an emergency meeting of the National Security Committee to discuss measures to be taken to prevent the coronavirus from spreading in the country.
Last Saturday, he took the nation in confidence and urged people to take precautions since Pakistan does not have enormous health facilities to treat coronavirus affectees if the situation worsens in the country. Nor the economic conditions of Pakistan allow for a complete lockdown hence precaution is the only tool to coronavirus.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Imran Khan is practicing social distancing-a precautionary move to stop the spread of the coronavirus, as he did not shake hands with and hugged prominent religious scholar, Maulana Tariq Jameel and has reduced his engagements.
Tariq Jameel reached Prime Minister Office today to meet Imran Khan. Both avoided shaking hands and while Imran Khan greeted the religious scholar with a hand on his heart to show respect to him.
