The decision has brought immense joy to Julia Morley, Chairperson and CEO of the Miss World Organisation. “I am delighted to announce India as the new home of the 71st Miss World Final! I have had a great affection for India from the first moment I visited this incredible country more than 30 years ago! We cannot wait to share your unique and diverse culture, world-class attractions, and breathtaking locations with the rest of the world,” said Julia Morley.
While the exact date for the grand finale is still to be disclosed, it is anticipated to occur in either November or December. The Miss World Festival will encompass a month-long celebration comprising various rounds to select the finalists, culminating in the crowning of the next Miss World.
Jamil Saidi, Chairman of PME, emphasized the importance of India as the host country, expressing, “The 71st Miss World Festival is set to take place in the most deserving nation to showcase this spectacular event. It provides an opportunity for representatives from 140 countries to witness the beauty of Incredible India! We are eager to share your distinct and diverse culture, remarkable attractions, and awe-inspiring destinations with the global audience.”
The announcement follows the initial decision to host the pageant in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Initially, Julia Morley had confirmed the UAE as the 2023 Miss World competition location. However, a change in plans has now brought this esteemed event back to India’s vibrant and culturally rich country.
