Jawad Ahmed barred from speaking for criticizing PM Khan

News Desk |

Singer Jawad Ahmed and founder of Barabri Party Pakistan (BPP) has alleged that he was deliberately barred from giving a speech at Social Media Conclave organized in Faisalabad Art Council after he began criticizing Imran Khan led government.

Jawad Ahmed in his statement said that he was allegedly barred in the middle of his speech by the organizers when he criticized Imran Khan and former premier Nawaz Sharif. He said he felt humiliated by the reactions of the organizers and left the venue after the incident. Jawad Ahmed was invited as a guest speaker in the event.

Addressing the government, Jawad Ahmed had said that both the current and previous governments are busy in mudslinging and accusing each other of corruption. Similarly, he added, the democratic governments had been dubbing the martial law regimes corrupt and vice versa.

Jawad Ahmed soon took to Twitter and releases a full video explaining the incident and his outlook on the political setup in Pakistan. He said that his words were received well by the youth in the audience.

This, he said, meant that so far the country could not have any honest and fair government.

As soon as he uttered these words, one of the organizers stepped in and stopped the guest speaker from speaking further. The organizer then told the other guest speakers to refrain from criticizing Imran Khan and chanted slogans in his favor.

In the video, he stated that the audience clapped and endorsed his words that PTI has also become a party of mafias, landlords, feudal and capitalists. He said “perhaps that upset some people, there were some PTI people there. Their culture has also become like that, Imran Khan has made it like that”.

Any of the Pakistan Tehreek-I-Insaf leader or local representative is yet to comment on the incident.
