JS Bank, one of the fastest-growing banks in Pakistan, has won three awards for diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) at the prestigious Global Diversity and Inclusion Benchmarks (GDEIB) Awards 2021.
To clarify, the GDEIB helps organizations determine strategy and measure progress in managing diversity and fostering inclusion. The GDEIB offers organizations an opportunity to progressively and comprehensively address sustainable DEI growth and development.
The award ceremony was held at a Bank in Karachi. For the second consecutive year, the bank has been recognized for its visible efforts in the areas of DE&I structure and implementation, work-life integration, and community and philanthropy.

These awards honor players from the market who champion the cause of DE&I within their organization through their vision, values, policies, and actions.
Basir Shamsie, president and CEO, and Myra Khan, head of Legal from JS Bank were invited to receive the awards.
While sharing his views, Basir Shamsie said, “JS Bank is an ambassador of DE&I, where it has set certain benchmarks for the betterment of its people. We have implemented multiple initiatives and HR policies at our bank for women’s empowerment and for differently-abled individuals.”
“These awards bring us a step closer to our vision of achieving higher standards within the spectrum of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion,” he added.

Pertinent to mention, JS Bank often wins awards for its outstanding services. Earlier this year, received the 2021 USD Clearing Elite Quality Recognition Award for its Outstanding Achievement by JP Morgan.
To clarify, J.P. Morgan is a global leader in financial services, offering solutions to the world’s most important corporations, governments, and institutions in more than 100 countries.
Previously, the Bank received Quality Recognition Award by JP Morgan in 2020 based on its robust performance.
