Minister Aneeq stressed the importance of promoting unity within the Muslim Ummah

Minister Aneeq reiterated that Pakistan's foundation was deeply rooted in the Quran and Sunnah, the teachings of Islam's holy texts.

Caretaker Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Aneeq Ahmed, and Bahraini Parliament Member, Sheikh Adel bin Abdulrahman Almuawda, discussed the pressing need for Muslim nations to unite and project a positive image of the Ummah on the global stage. The leaders emphasized the importance of addressing common issues, combating Islamophobia, and nurturing the younger generation with Islamic values.

Promoting Unity within the Ummah

During their discussions, Minister Aneeq stressed the critical importance of promoting unity within the Muslim Ummah. They recognized that a united front would enable Muslim countries to address their shared challenges effectively. Sheikh Almuawda expressed his country’s deep affection for Pakistan as a state established in the name of Islam and highlighted historical instances of Islamophobia. Both leaders agreed that it was imperative to remove the veil of ignorance surrounding Islam and change the world’s perception of the religion.

Educating the Youth

Minister Aneeq lamented that many young individuals were not seeking solutions to contemporary issues within the Quran’s teachings. To address this concern, both leaders emphasized the importance of incorporating religious education into educational institutions. They believed that nurturing the younger generation with Islamic values and teachings in a gentle and informative manner was essential to counter the challenges faced by the Muslim Ummah today.

Sheikh Almuawda extended an invitation to Minister Aneeq to visit Bahrain, aiming to further strengthen the bilateral relations between Pakistan and Bahrain. Both leaders expressed their commitment to enhancing cooperation between the two nations, with the ultimate goal of fostering unity, promoting Islamic values, and addressing the challenges faced by the Muslim Ummah on a global scale.
