Proton reveals facelift for its Iriz and Persona models

Proton, a Malaysian company that has already launched two cars in Pakistan, revealed an exciting facelift for two of its models.

Proton today announced the launch of the new 2022 Proton Iriz and Persona, offering updated design elements plus enhanced features. The latest additions to the company’s range also come in new colors while offering improved comfort and safety for all passengers.

Proton Saga, already released in Pakistan, has a golden history in Malaysia. It’s their first-ever locally produced vehicle, known as the national car of Malaysia. In simpler words, Saga is the Mehran of Malaysia; every household in Malaysia has had this car once in their life.

Proton has launched two cars in Pakistan. Al-Haj Group is the local partner. Proton Pakistan has introduced Saga in three variants: Standard Manual, Standard Auto, and Ace Auto.

The styling changes and addition of a new Active variant for the Proton Iriz will help boost their visual appeal, while the changes we have made to the interior and infotainment system ensures they deliver better comfort and connectivity while retaining Proton’s trademark driving experience.”

“The updated look for the 2022 models also includes LED headlamps that support auto on/off and follow me home functions. The design is complemented by new 16-inch alloy wheels, a black roof finish and new finishing on the rear combination lamps,” he said.

New exterior colors, Citric Orange and Passion Red for the 2022 Proton Iriz and Space Grey for the 2022 Proton Persona.

On the previous Iriz, the 7″ head unit can support voice commands, but it is only to control your music, navigation, and weather forecast. The new version allows you to do more with your voice.

Like the Proton X70, you can use the “Hi Proton” feature to control the air-conditioning and the power windows. This provides extra convenience while you keep both hands on the wheel.

The Proton Irizi priced around Rs18.5 lac and the Proton Persona around Rs 20 lac. These prices are, of course, not considering the tariffs that will be applied when importing the cars resulting in the final price tag being much higher.
