SAPM on Political Communication, Shahbaz Gill, on Sunday debunks news on fight between PM Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi. Gill said that the government has approached the country’s court against a journalist who spread a fake story regarding the rift between PM Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi.
A few days back, speculations were rife that Bushra Bibi and PM Imran Khan had a fight after which she left Islamabad to stay with her friend at Lahore. SAPM asserted that “strict legal action will be taken against those who spread false news about the first lady.”
The rumors of their fight spread on social media like wildfire. However, the friend, Farah Khan, also denied the news of the fight between the couple. “I am surprised how someone made this up because Bushra Bibi has not visited Lahore in a long time,” Farah Khan said. “The first lady is still in Bani Gala with her husband and they have not had any fights.”

Personal lives and politics should be kept separated
Khan said that personal lives should not be dragged into politics and condemned the fake propaganda. Shahbaz Gill said both PM Imran Khan and Bushra bibi are living in Islamabad.
Back in 2019, similar reports had emerged. Denying the news, Prime Minister Imran Khan had vowed to live with his wife Bushra Bibi till his last breath. He further said that his wife is a blessing of God.
PM Khan also refuted all the rumors of his marital conflicts with Bushra Bibi through a text message to a local TV channel’s anchor person, saying “the reports [of a fight between PM and First Lady] are 200 percent wrong”.

Earlier in her first TV interview, Bushra Bibi praised Imran Khan for his simplicity and stated that Imran Khan is not just a politician but a leader as well and under his leadership, Pakistan will move towards prosperity and development.
