Punjab Assembly will be dissolved whenever Imran Khan wants: Moonis Elahi

Consultation on the political situation of Punjab and Pakistan and the joint plan of action for the future was also discussed. Moreover, a meeting of the Punjab Parliamentary Party has also been called for tomorrow as PTI has yet to take the final decision regarding quitting assemblies. 

PML-Q leader and former Federal Minister Moonis Elahi has revealed that PTI Chairman and former Prime Minister Imran Khan has been assured that the Punjab Assembly will be dissolved at his call.

According to the details, Punjab Chief Minister Parvez Elahi met with PTI Chairman Imran Khan, where the former premier was given assurance that the Punjab Assembly will be dissolved whenever he wants. Former Defence Minister Pervez Khattak was also present at the meeting.

Today we had a meeting with PM Imran Khan. In this meeting, he has been assured that this ministry is his trust and that when he wants, the Punjab Assembly will be dissolved,” Moonis Elahi revealed.

The former prime minister and PTI Chairman Imran Khan earlier announced that he had decided to opt out of a “corrupt system and quit all assemblies”.

“My party has decided not to remain part of the current political system and will instead resign from all the assemblies,” the PTI chief said in his first in-person address at the mammoth rally in the garrison city of Rawalpindi.

Without sharing further details of his decision, Imran Khan said that he would soon be meeting his chief ministers and the parliamentary party about the matter and would soon make the announcement about when the party would leave the assemblies.

According to the latest developments, the Punjab parliamentary meeting has been called for tomorrow. Meanwhile, a meeting of the Sindh and Balochistan parliamentary parties will be held on Sunday.
