In a tragic incident, robber kills a newly-married man in Karachi. Shahrukh Saleem, 28, was shot dead outside his home during an incident of street crime.

Shahrukh was married last week and his Valima ceremony was held on Monday. The man was gunned down in the Kashmir road vicinity on Wednesday evening. According to the details, he was involved in his family business of car showroom. According to the Police, the incident happened when he resisted a robbery attempt.

The incident happened when his mother and sister returned home in a rickshaw. The two women were giving money to the rickshaw driver when a man in a mask came and asked them to give him their jewelry at gunpoint. In the meantime, one of the women rang the doorbell and started shouting. Shahrukh opened the door and tried to overpower the robber when he heard his sister and mother shouting. The robber fired on him. Shahrukh received a single bullet in the upper torso.

He was rushed to the hospital where he succumbed to injury. Police said that they have obtained the CCTV footage of the incident and have registered the case against the culprits. Investigation to catch the robber is underway.

Social media users have expressed their anger at the incident. They demand the authorities arrest the culprit and take measures to protect the life and property of the citizens. His pictures from the wedding ceremony are circulating on social media. While sharing his picture, a Twitter user said: Shah Rukh’s wedding was not even a week away. Today he was killed by dacoits for resisting a robbery. Karachi has become a stronghold of dacoits. What difference does it make for Murad Ali Shah and Bilawal?”

“My heart is broken after watching CCTV of this accident. Rest in peace Shahrukh rest in peace Bro. M out of words” wrote another Twitter user.
