Samsung Galaxy A23: A faster phone in budget

About four months after the Galaxy A23 4G released, Samsung quietly introduced a 5G variant with only a few modifications.

Samsung has discreetly introduced a 5G version of the Galaxy A23 with only a few tweaks, about 4 months after the Galaxy A23 4G launched. Now that we have a speedier chipset, certain other details are still up in the air.

Concept and Display

The Galaxy A23 5G is not radically different from its other A series siblings in terms of design, but its waterdrop notch and substantial bottom bezel set it apart from other high-end smartphones. Although Samsung has not specified whether it is a 90Hz or 60Hz display, it has the same 6.6-inch LCD panel with 1080p resolution as the 4G variant. On the side, above the power button, is the fingerprint reader.

Inside and Storage

A Snapdragon 695 SoC, which is many generations more advanced than a Snapdragon 680, replaces the latter on the inside. The sole storage options are 64GB and 128GB, but you may choose between 4GB, 6GB, or 8GB RAM. A microSD card allows you to increase storage by up to 1TB.

The smartphone will start up with Android 12 and One UI 4.1.

Cameras

Nothing has changed regarding the primary camera configuration. It continues to have a 64MP main sensor with OIS for steady films and photos, along with a 5MP ultrawide camera and two 2MP cameras for taking macro and depth photographs. Only 1080p videos may be captured with this camera.

The waterdrop notch, which is similarly intact, houses the 8MP selfie camera.

Battery and Cost

It is still a 5,000 mAh cell with 25W fast charging capabilities because Samsung hasn’t changed the battery at all.

Pricing has not yet been confirmed, but given that the 4G model starts at about $300, we anticipate the 5G version to cost at least $350.
