According to reports, the altercation started after the 18th over, Haq was hit by a four by Amir. The right-arm pacer Haq allegedly abused Amir after the over which led to an unpleasant argument. The teammates of Tuskers had to intervene to end the argument between the two players. However, the drama again picked up when Amir hit a six to Haq in the last over. Losing control of his temper, Haq again abused Amir. The argument between the two cricketers continued even after the match.

The incident was similar to Afridi’s verbal spat with former Indian cricketer, Gautam Gambhir, back in 2007 during a bilateral series. The incident happened during the third match of the India-Pakistan cricket series in 2007. Shahid Afridi and Gautam Gambhir hurled abuses at each other when the latter tried to score a run on the former’s ball.

Both the cricketers collided on the field and engaged in a row during the match that India won with 46 runs. Gambhir had scored 75 runs in the match. Since then both the cricketers are at odds.
