Tanhaiyyan star Sultana Zafar passes away at 66

Veteran Actress Sultana Zafar passed away at 66, leaving her fans heartbroken

Sultana Zafar was a legendary and veteran actress of the Pakistani entertainment industry. Sultana Zafar was a big name in Pakistani drama industry. Her notable work was Tanhaiyyan, Uroosa, Akhri Chattan and many other TV drama serials. Sultana Zafar’s unique Hyderabadi style and language was loved by all.

Unfortunately, according to reports, she passed away in Dallas, USA where she was running a boutique called Armale Studios.

She was 66 years old. It is being reported that she suffered a stroke.

It is always depressing to witness talent diminishing through the demise of such legendary actors; however we pray that Miss Sultana’s soul rests in peace.

News of her passing shocked many as fans took to social media to extend their thoughts and prayers to the late actress.

This year alone, Pakistani entertainment has seen a great loss of cream actors starting with Kanwal Naser PTV’s first female announcer and drama artist who passed away due to a heart attack.

Haseena Moin, leading Pakistani playwriter Haseena Moin died on 26 March 2021 at the age of 79. Haseena Moin had been suffering from cancer for a long time. Her death was a great shock to the Pakistani drama industry.

On 6 May 2021, actress Bushra Ansari’s sister Sumbal Shahid also lost her life due to the corona epidemic. Like her other sisters, Sumbal Shahid was also an actress and she showed the essence of acting in many dramas.
