Twitter has permanently suspended the account of Bollywood actress, Kangana Ranaut, for violating the rules of the social media platform.
The actress had been vocal about the alleged violence in the recent West Bengal elections in India. She had urged the Indian ruling party, BJP, to reject the election results. She demanded the imposition of the Presidential System in West Bengal. Kangana Ranaut backed her suggestion by claiming that previous Indian presidents have taken this step in the past hence Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi can also take this action.

Last week, the actress in the sporadic move had appreciated Pakistan for expressing solidarity with India during its COVID-19 emergency. Kangana Ranaut lauded Pakistan for expressing solidarity with India which is hit by the devastating second wave of COVID-19.
Kangana said in a tweet “Heartwarming to see a top trend from Pakistan #PakistanstandswithIndia. We too acknowledge their empathy in these testing times.”
Pakistani social media users were met with surprise when Ranaut praised Pakistan since the actress is known as the staunch critic of Pakistan, often voicing her extremist views against the country on social media.
Her appreciation came as a surprise to Pakistanis who in the past have accused Pakistan of sponsoring terrorism with attempts to destabilize India.
