Viral dance group The Quick Style lands in Pakistan

A few months ago, The Quick Style was present at an event organized by the Coke Studio in Pakistan. The band met the singers of the popular song ‘Kana Yaari’. 

Viral Norwegian dance group The Quick Style has landed in Pakistan. A picture of them standing at the Quaid-e-Azam’s mausoleum in Karachi is making waves on social media.

Coke Studio Pakistan shared the image and perhaps the band has been invited by them to Pakistan. Netizens are anticipating what they will be performing in the probably the next season of Coke Studio Pakistan.

A few months ago, The Quick Style was present at an event organized by the Coke Studio in Pakistan. The band met the singers of the popular song ‘Kana Yaari’.  The group had even performed at Kana Yaari in one of its viral videos. According to the statement released earlier, Coke Studio has invited the band for a nationwide tour.

It said in a press release, “Internationally renowned dance group Quick Style is coming to Pakistan. With their performance on Coke Studio season 14’s Kana Yaari, Quick Style founding members Suleman Malik, Bilal Malik, and Nasir Sirikhan, along with their dance crew, burst onto the South Asian dance scene. In October 2022, the first official dance video from Coke Studio, featuring the popular song Peechay Hutt, was released.”

It added, “the twins Suleman and Bill Malik of Coke Studio, Norwegian-Pakistanis, have stronger creative ties with Quick Style thanks to their visit to Pakistan. For better creative sharing, the dance team will travel to famous locations and different academic and art institutions.”

The group had earlier taken social media by storm when they released a short video of dancing to a bhangra song ‘Nach Punjaban’ of Abrar-ul-Haq on Instagram.

The video shows a group of boys making synchronized dance steps to the song. The video gained traction among Pakistani fans and bhangra music lovers. The group captioned the video on Instagram. “This is how we Punjabi,” on the video.

The group rose to fame after winning ‘Norway’s Got Talent in 2009. The group even won 500,000 NOK. Their victory led to Sony Music signing them.
