The nephew of PTI Chairman and former Prime Minister Imran Khan has been arrested outside of the Islamabad High Court (IHC).
Imran Khan’s nephew Sher Shah Khan had reached IHC, along with several PTI workers who came with Imran Khan for his hearing on a sedition case. However, Sher Shah Khan was arrested outside the IHC. Imran Khan’s photographer was also arrested, along with PTI workers.
According to PTI, Sher Shah Khan did not break any law, yet he was taken into custody by the Islamabad police. A video of Sher Shah being taken away by the police is making the rounds on social media as PTI leaders and its supporters accuse the government of fascism. Imran Khan also slammed the government for arresting Sher Shah along with PTI workers and said such scare tactics won’t work.

“Today again, innocent citizens are being arrested from outside the Islamabad High Court. Today’s negotiation session with the government should not begin until these innocent people are released from custody,” PTI Secretary General Asad Umar said.
Meanwhile, PTI Vice President Fawad Chaudhry revealed that he informed federal ministers Saad Rafiq and Azam Nazir Tarar about the arrests, who assured immediate release.
“Saad Rafiq and Azam Nazir Tarar have been informed about these unnecessary arrests, the Law Minister has assured that all the arrested workers will be released immediately,” Fawad Chaudhry said.

Last month, Imran Khan’s nephew and his focal person on legal affairs, Hassaan Niazi, was arrested from outside an anti-terrorism court in Islamabad. He was arrested for “misbehaving with the police and resisting” at a checkpost, police sources said.
