WATCH: Preity Zinta flaunts Pashto-speaking skills for cricket-mad fans

"Every IPL I look for an opportunity to learn something new besides cricket I’ve tried to do my best to speak this beautiful language correctly," the actress wrote on Twitter and Instagram.

The gorgeous Bollywood actress Preity Zinta on Tuesday flaunted her Pashto speaking skills in a viral video. The actress dropped the small video on her Twitter account, gaining immense traction in India and Pakistan.

Zinta took to Twitter to engage with her fans amid as another season of Indian Premier League (IPL) gets underway. In her message, she asked her fans on the social media app to guess the language she was speaking in her video.

She wrote: “Every IPL I look for an opportunity to learn something new besides cricket I’ve tried to do my best to speak this beautiful language correctly. If there are any mistakes please forgive me Can U guess the language & what I’m saying? #PzIpldiaries #Ipl2020 #Dream11IPL #Ting.”

According to a Twitter user, the actress, in the video, said: “hello dear fans! stay home, stay safe, be always happy, watch IPL, and thank you.” Praises for the actress poured in from fans, especially from Pashto-speaking followers in Pakistan, and across the globe, after she released the video.

This is not the first time Zinta has demonstrated her Pashto-speaking skills. Last year, her video of interacting with an Afghani cricketer in Pashto caught the attention on social media.

She credited right-arm off-spinner Mujeeb-ur-Rehman from the Afghan cricket team for teaching a ‘bit of Pashto’ to her. Mujeeb, who is a player of King XI Punjab, seemed to be mentoring her as she learned the Pashto language.
