Within days of its release, Veere Di Wedding is already becoming a landmark moment for Indian Cinema and is ensuring that Kareena Kapoor Khan stays as popular as she always has been. But if reports are any indication, her next two films will be just as big, if not more, especially since they have some of the biggest names in Bollywood – Shah Rukh Khan and Akshay Kumar – attached to them.
The Shashanka Gosh film did great box office business having the highest opening for an all female-led film. It also has the 5th best opening weekend film in India and was the third highest opening Hindi film of 2018. With the critics and fans continuing to praise the film and Bebo’s performance, Kapoor’s star seems unlikely to dim.

She is set to appear alongside Akshay Kumar in a film which will be directed by Karan Johar. This will reunite her with Kumar whom she last worked with on the semi box office hit Kambakkht Ishq back in 2009. According to sources Kareena Kapoor Khan was happy to learn that Kumar would be starring alongside her in the film as they are good friends.
The story of the film revolves around a couple who are trying to have a child and cross paths with another older couple. Details about the story and who will play the other couple in the entitled film haven’t been released yet. But work on the project is set to begin shortly after Akshay Kumar finishes work on Housefull 4.
She is set to appear alongside Akshay Kumar in a film which will be directed by Karan Johar.
Kareena Kapoor is also being attached to Salute. The film based on astronaut Rakesh Sharma is one of the most eagerly anticipated films. Previously Amir Khan and Priyanka Chopra were attached to the film but after the two abandoned the film, King Khan became linked to the Mahesh Mathai film. There has been constant speculation with regards to who would end up playing the wife to Khan’s on-screen character. Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone were both rumored to be in the running for the role but if recent reports are any indication Kareena will be the one to star in the film.

According to reports Kapoor had initially refused to do the film but at the director’s insistence, she finally agreed. King Khan and Kareena Kapoor have had success with their previous films Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gum, Omkara, and Ra One. It will be interesting to see if they can continue their box office domination with Salute.
