Pakistani singer Abrar-ul-Haq was criticized for performing at an event in London just two days after resigning from Pakistan Tehreek-I-Insaf in an emotional presser.
Videos of him performing his upbeat Punjabi songs at an event organized by a Pakistani housing society made rounds on social media. Abrar-ul-Haq had announced to part ways with PTI in a teary-eyed press conference.
According to videos circulating on social media, mayhem can be seen among people with Abrar-ul-Haq in between the crowd. On Twitter, people condemned him for performing in a concert; netizens said they expected the singer to show grace even after parting ways when his former party and workers are going through tough challenges at home.
Videos showed security protected him to protect him from a possible attack from protestors. Regarding the ruckus in London, Abrar-ul-Haq has accused Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz and an alleged paid journalist of creating mayhem during his media talk in London. According to media reports, no protest took place during his performance.

Mayhem erupted after the press surrounded Abrar-ul-Haq and forced him to talk to them. His security team pulled the journalists back which caused commotion. They then surrounded him when he was about to sit in the car. The singer then talked to the media.
In a now-deleted tweet, Abrar-ul-Haq explained that he had signed the contract for the concert months before the 9th May incident. He was bound to perform due to his contractual obligations. Singer Annie Khalid also supported his stance in a tweet.
While responding to the questions about leaving politics and crying in the presser he said that he had been attached to the party for the past 15 years and had memories with the party leaders and workers. He did not want to leave politics but the incidents that followed after 9th May had left him disturbed hence he decided to quit politics for a while.
In a video posted on his Twitter account on May 19th, Abrar-ul-Haq said that police had raided his house and arrested his domestic workers. They also harassed and threatened his family and children. Haq said that he has always called for peaceful protests and does not know what was his crime.
