Actor Akshay Kumar in deep pain on the death of mother

Akshay Kumar was in the UK for the shooting of his upcoming film, Cinderella when he got to know about the deteriorating health of his mother. He left the UK and urgently reached Mumbai to see his mother. Unfortunately, his mother passed away. The cause of her illness is still unknown.

Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar feels heartbroken after his mother Aruna Bhatia passes away on Wednesday morning after she was admitted to the hospital in critical condition.

The actor took to his social media platform and confirmed the news. He tweeted “She was my core. And today I feel an unbearable pain at the very core of my existence. My maa Smt Aruna Bhatia peacefully left this world today morning and got reunited with my dad in the other world.”

“I respect your prayers as I and my family go through this period.”

Earlier, Akshay tweeted “Touched beyond words at your concern for my mom’s health. This is a very tough hour for me and my family. Every single prayer of yours would greatly help.”

Akshay Kumar dearly loved his mother. He had written a heartfelt note for her on Mother’s Day. “Even in this day and age, you’re the only one whose one hand on my head can comfort me in troubled times because I know there’s nothing I can’t do with your blessings maa. Happy #MothersDay,” Akshay had mentioned on Mother’s Day.

He even took her to Singapore on her 80th birthday. “Do more of what you love doing and that’s exactly what the birthday girl did. Spent the past week in Singapore taking mom to her favorite place in the whole world: the casino,” Akshay had posted on Facebook.

Celebrities send their condolences

Fellow friends and celebrities have poured in condolences and expressed solidarity with the actor in his testing time.

“Dear Akki, very sad to hear of the passing of your mother. May she rest in peace. My deepest condolences to you and your entire family,” wrote Salman Khan in a tweet.

“Sad to hear about the demise of Akshay Kumar’s mother Smt Aruna Bhatia. May God give strength to her family & loved ones,” wrote former Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir. A few weeks ago, the actor had begun the shooting of Cinderella- a remake of the Telugu movie  Rakshasudu. He will also be seen in Raksha Bandhan, Bachchan Pandey, Ram Sedu, Sooryavanshi, and Atrangi Re.
